Lagos State Government through the Lagos State Safety Commission (LSSC) has sensitised salon managers, hairdressers, barbers and beauty therapists on COVID-19 safety and hygiene management.

This is in continuation of its awareness campaign on COVID-19.

The commission at the weekend organised a one-day health and safety training on COVID-19 hygiene management and advocacy for salon operators.

Held at the Education Resource Centre, Ojodu, Lagos, the training was attended by hairdressers, barbers and beauty therapists.

It was organised in batches in line with the COVID-19 protocols and to accommodate a large number of participants.

LSSC Director-General Lanre Mojola said the training became imperative because of the large and diverse nature of the people salon operators encountered in the course of earning their daily living.
